Hello, hopefully this list is the most appropriate/

We have a Busl. 958 connected internally with a wide cable to a
4.5 MB quantum Viking as only scsi-device.
(Terminated at both ends.)

Seems to work in NT but when I try to install RedHat-4.2 or 4.9.1 or devel
on the drive it crashes either half-way through installing packages
or when creating the filesystem.

Tried dissalowing disconnects, ultra/wide negotiation to no avail.

Firmware on Buslogic updated from Leonards page. (womper97)
Any hints on this setup? Has anyone seen firmware upgrades on Vikings??
(as a sidenote Sun sent us 10 new disks to replace the ones in our ssa
that supposedly are quantums, not sure if they are Vikings though,
   they probably have SCA-connectors anyway..)

The redhat install oopses heavily, and sometimes you can see SCSI messages
flashing by before it halts completly.

RedHat 4.9.1 installed flawlessly onto the internal IDE-drive
connected to this Tyan Tahoe 2 ATX (2*266) motherboard.
