Hmm, this is rather odd since I un-tar'ed the source tree for Linux-1.2.10,
applied the patch Hans sent, and added this to LILO:
append = "ncr5380=0x358,255"
It works just fine now, but when I tried using the 53c400 patch from sunsite
/dev/scd0 was not recognized as a block dev.
But my system is very happy now. :-) Thanks.
