I have an SIIG, Inc XL-221 ISA Scsi board.

The board has an on-board bios which can be configured to c800-dc00 range.
I/O address can be set for 0x140-0x170.
IRQs can be 10,11,12 & 15.

The chip is a Logic L53C80JC, which according to the Logic spec sheet is a
direct
replacement for the NCR5380.

My problem is, that the board is recognized and functions under DOS, BUT
I cannot get Linux to recognize the board exists.

I'm running RedHat 4.1 with all the updates for that version.
When Lilo comes up, I enter the command line option of "Linux
ncr5380=0x140,11" (no other devices are using these values) and yet Linux
says "Scsi : 0 hosts".

Anyone have any ideas?

I'd appreciate any input.

TIA

Kerry
