Hi there,

I bought a computer with a SCSI Thosiba CD-ROM 570167, Yamaha CD-Recorder
 CDR200t and a Symbios Logic NCR53c810 controller.
Already burned some CD's under windows95 and under DOS 2 CD-ROM drives are
detected.

Now I installed Linuz Redhat 4.2, but Linux does not detect the Yamaha !
When booting the SDMS bios detects the yamaha (ID 0) and the Thosiba (ID 6)
the controller (ID 7).
When Linux is booting I get the following message :

scsi : 0 hosts.
scsi : detected total.
Partition check:
 hda: hda1 hda2 hda3 < hda5 > hda4
RAMDISK: Compressed image found at block 0

Detected scsi CD-ROM sr0 at scsi0, channel 0, id 0, lun 0

Note the detected ID is 0 while the bios detects the thosiba on ID 6 !

Does anybody know whats going wrong ?
P}lease help me out !

Thanks,

Jeroen <roose@nlr.nl>
