I am trying to install linux on an IBM P/S2 56 486 SLC/2 (9556 DB6).

SCSI Adapter- 	IBM SCSI BIOS
ASPI Manager- 	ASPI4B ver 3
HardDrive-	WDS 3100 (100mb)

The mthr/brd appears to have an mca architecture
I have tried booting with the scsi kernal and with the ibmmca kernel.
none of them seem to be recognising the scsi adapter

The exact error message is; IBM MCA SCSI: No Adapter Attached
then; scsi:0 hosts.

the only unusual message that I am getting at boot time is;
loop: Registered device at major 7

Thanking you in advance for any help you can give.
