Problems vith DC2974

And some more problems:
I use a DC2974 SCSI Controller, two devices connected: A ZIP drive and
a Mustek 1200SP Scanner, both are recognized fine and by now I had no
problems
with the ZIP. BUT: Everytime I try to scan the system hangs with a
"Kernel panic: scsi0". Is anyone working with this kind of Controller,
or at
least with a similar chipset (AM53c974 or 79c974)? Perhaps this kind of
error
has happened on some other controller? If so please tell me
By now I'm still about debugging the driver, perhaps someone can help me
if
I know about the point where exactly the system goes down.
