I observed the partition table structure of the drive. The main
partition table containing the extended partition was still okay. The
places where the /dev/sda5 and /dev/sda6 partition tables would have
been (sda6: approx.) were overwritten with data.
Is this a problem with Linux 2.0.30 fat and/or ext2fs filesystem or is
the driver (ncr53c8xx, V1.18d) responsible.
Maybe I could have done something wrong. Please tell me if you need more
information.
