This sales support would be indeed a bad technical support.
Here is a line I used to look at for 1 second, each time I boot my system:
ncr53c875-0-<6,0>: FAST-20 WIDE SCSI 40.0 MB/s (50 ns, offset 16)
FAST-20 (Official name from T10) a.k.a SCSI-III a.k.a ULTRA SCSI
20 Mega-transfers/second --> 20 MB/s with 8 bits SCSI, 40 MB/s with 16
bits (Wide 16) SCSI.
