I would like to install linux red-hat 4.1 on my pc with a nec scsi
cdrom and a future domain tmc850 8bit scsi controller; I tried to boot
with the original boot.img file but it not want to recognize the
controller; i also tried to include the line "linux tmc8xx=0xc800,5"
at the boot prompt without fortune (with an old slackware version of
linux it worked). I've read in some docs that my controller is not
present in the file boot.img (only the tmc885) then there is anyone
who can suggest a method to force linux to recognize the controller or
where i can find a boot.img with support for my controller? Many
thanks in advance.
