I have almost the same problem.
At booting , when detecting the harddisk it appers:
target 0: rate=10.0MHz, synchronuous, sync offset = 15 bytes
And any operation he makes further with the disk, it appears
this message on the screen. The server is still running,
I can log in, but I can't do anything because of the message that
appears again and again , hundreds of time on my screen.
Can anyone help??!
Thanks.
