I used to get these long ago when my news server ran off a 1740. I was
under the impression that someone seriously revamped the 1740 driver
(fixing things like this and adding multiple card support) several months
ago. Did the new 1740 driver ever make it into the standard kernel?
That being said, what kernel _were you_ using?
