I tried putting the max_scsi_luns=2 at the linux boot prompt, and no dice.
It still did not recognize my PDCD.
Here is my computer in a nutshell:
Compaq Presario 9240
Pentium 133Mhz
32MB RAM
1.2 Quantum HD (Master on first IDE controller)
5.1GB Maxtor H (Master on second IDE controller)
PD-CDROM with an Adaptec AIC 7850 controller
PS/2 mouse
ESS1788 Sound Card
S3Trio64+ Video
Could the problem be that I installed second HD onto the computer? Would
that affect how the CDROM is recognized by the computer?
What is the best way to find out IRQ, LUN and other hardware information?
I am getting very frustrated with this installation, and I know that it
will be one small thing that will get the whole thing to work.
