I've uploaded new files to linux.wauug.org.

- ncr53c8xx-1.18f-to-1.18g.patch.gz
- ncr53c8xx-1.18g-to-1.18h.patch.gz
- slack-boot-53c8xx-1.18h.tar.gz

For the Diamond Fire Port 40, you must use driver version
1.18g or 1.18h.

For linux-2.0.29/30, patches to apply, in this order, are:

- ncr53c8xx-1.12d-to-1.18d-for-linux-2.0.29.patch.gz
- ncr53c8xx-1.18d-to-1.18e.patch.gz
- ncr53c8xx-1.18e-to-1.18f.patch.gz
- ncr53c8xx-1.18f-to-1.18g.patch.gz
- ncr53c8xx-1.18g-to-1.18h.patch.gz

For linux-2.1.3X versions, you can check the supplied driver
version in ncr53c8xx.h (but not in ncr53c8xx.c), and apply
necessary patches.

I receive reports from people who have problems with the
RedHat 3/4 installation.
I never installed RedHat distribution and I donnot know
how to make a RedHat compatible boot-kernel.
Any tip is welcome. Mail directly.

        Gerard.
