support for NCR875 chip?

Hello everyone. I searched the archives for an answer to this one, but
couldn't find one, so...

Does the current NCR driver support the NCR875 chip (found in, among other
things, the Symbios Scsi-3 controller)? I tried the driver in the 2.136
kernel to no avail; (interrupts, addresses, etc. are all OK) wouldn't
recognize it at bootup. Any help appreciated, thanks!!
