I've just installed slackware from the cd. A recent version (green
Infomagic cd). Adaptec 2920 scsi ha using fdomain kernel, worked fine.
Now the problem is I can't get any kind of network card working. I've
tried wd, smc, 3com etc. I get the same error message regardless, which
is:
"Can't open dependencies file /lib/modules/2.0.27/modules.dep"
There is no such directory, though I do have /lib/modules/2.0.0
When I run modprobe tulip.o I get (obviously) the same error, even if I
put the full path to tulip.o.
Which file or process is looking for this path?
I'd really like to use a de500 card. I have the module tulip.o in
/lib/modules/2.0.0/net
And yes, I confess, I am but a vile newbie. I've read a few faq's but I
think my question is just too faqing obvious. If anyone can help me I
promise to get a haircut and a real job (currently doing novell and NT).
