G'day all...
This is the second time I have tried to get an answer on this issue but
it seems I am not getting through so I'd really appreciate some help.
I have an HP Netserver LH with 2 SCSI AIC7850 adapters. I got the
aic7xxx.img file from ftp.redhat.com and used it to boot up the other
Netservers (LCs) with no problem...even though they have the same setup i.e
2 7850 SCSI adapters.
I shouldn't fail to mention that the Netserver LH has a RAID disk array
with 4 1.05 GB disks (it has space for 6, I am just using 4 right now).
Everything's fine in the booting up process until the following:
scsi: detected 1 SCSI cdrom 4 SCSI disks 1 SCSI tape
sda: unsupported sector size 620756992
scsi: deleting disk entry
sdb: unsupported sector size 620756992
scsi: deleting disk entry
.
.
.[same thing for sdc and sdd]
.
.
Partition Check:
sda: <0>Kernel Panic: No device passed to allocate_device()
The process hangs there. So, here are my questions:
What is the matter, essentially? I think it's because the drives aren't
supported? Forgive me for being foolish but what can I do about this?
I'd appreciate greatly any help I am able to get.
Many thanks..
