Hi all,

I'm having a little trouble. I hope someone out there can help me.

I just finished installing Slackware Linux (v2.0.0 kernel) on a Toshiba
Satellite 115CS laptop. I have an Adaptec SlimSCSI PCMCIA card with (what I
believe to be) the proper drivers in the kernel. When the system boots, it
"sees" the aha152x controller as well as the 2 devices attached to it: a
Quantum hard drive (SCSI ID = 1) and a Matshita SCSI cdrom (SCSI ID = 5).

I have no clue as to what to do next. I need to mount the cdrom and/or the
disk but I do not know what device files to mount. I have tried a number of
the device files in /dev with no success. For example, to mount the cdrom,
I tried:

mount /dev/sda /cdrom
mount: the kernel does not recognize the /dev/sda as a block device
       (maybe `insmod driver`?)

The same message is displayed when I use /dev/sdb. The files /dev/sda and
/dev/sdb exist.

Can someone please help me?

Regards,

-- THK
