Hi!
Getting away from all these posts on UltraFast-wide SCSI-2/3 I have
a request of a more modest nature!
I've got a CorelSCSI LS2000 card for which I have DOS drivers only.
I would like to get a Linux driver working for it...
The card is based on the NCR 53C400 chip which is supported in
Linux under the generic NCR 5380 driver. However, the g_NCR5380 driver
hangs my machine if I try to use it.
I guess that I'm quite close to getting it working. What I need to know is
this:
Is the Corel LS2000 a "Port" or "Memory" mapped device?
Is D800h the port/memory address? (In DOS I have to exclude D800-DBFF.)
I think I should specify an ISA io base address. Linux defaults to 0x350 is
this correct for this card?
IRQs? Well, I think I've sorted this:
Under DOS the card doesn't require an IRQ, and the IRQ jumper-posts are missing.
I've soldered some posts onto the board and set an IRQ. It still works in DOS!
Any pointers/help much appreciated!
Many thanks,
Tim.
