Ok, how about CD-R's, are they supported by linux?

Hello folks,
I was looking at recordable cd-roms today, and they all come in scsi
interface format. Does linux support recordable cd-roms yet? I'm
imagining that if used with a supported scsi host adapter, that may be
the cd-r's would be supported by linux; but I want to double check and
make sure that's the case.
