Hello ,
I have a problem with linux Redhat 4.1 and my adaptec card , does anyone
knows how to resolve this ?
when booting linux print:
SCSI : 0 hosts
-here some useful information :
Fresh install of redhat 4.1 on a 486DX4 100mhz
with 2 IDE (200M (windows),500M (linux)) and 1 SCSI drive 1.2G
root partition is on 500M drive
The install process can probe with success with driver aha152x
I did partition and initialize (2 partitions) /dev/sda1 and /dev/sda2
so the install process see the SCSI drive .
I boot with Loadlin .
OK but no scsi drive
I have tried to add on the loadlin line : aha152x=0x340,11,7,1 - no change
I have tried to boot from :
1 ) the floppy provided , adding on the command line aha152x=0x340,11,7,1
- no change
2 ) the bootable floppy from ftp.redhat.com update scsi (bootaic7xxx.img)
- no change
I have read the SCSCI-HOWTO but I don't see anything to test further
