I am setting up a cdrom server (see previous post :) and I think I have a
few problems. Could it be termination on the aha1510 that is giving me
these problems? I think the customer was using this card in his machine
before I obtained it to build this linux box for him. These are the
messages that I get when writing a simple bash script to change discs and
copy files from cd to hard disk:
Feb 27 02:02:21 discserv kernel: CD-ROM I/O error: dev 0b:02, sector 90958
Feb 27 02:02:28 discserv kernel: SCSI CD error : host 0 id 2 lun 4 return
code = 27010000
Feb 27 02:02:28 discserv kernel: CD-ROM I/O error: dev 0b:04, sector 142
Feb 27 02:02:35 discserv kernel: SCSI CD error : host 0 id 2 lun 1 return
code = 27010000
Feb 27 02:02:35 discserv kernel: CD-ROM I/O error: dev 0b:01, sector
341910
Feb 27 02:02:41 discserv kernel: SCSI CD error : host 0 id 2 lun 4 return
code = 27010000
The cable is brand new, and a jaz is also connected, and acts as
termination for the outside chain. I also saw references to sr_photocd,
indicating that it is not a photo cd, and in fact it isn't.
Any ideas?
