Hello,
I have encountered the followinf problem and I don't relly knew wheater
it is scsi specific.
I'm using buslogic pci scsi adaptor with DX2 486 mainboard with 16 M
RAM, kernel 2.0.27, everthing works rather well, except when I using the
append switch with tar i.e. tar rvf on an exabyte 8 mm tape. I get
always an I/O error.
"tar" cvf,xvf ant tvf works fine. I have used mt to change the block
sizes and yet no "tar rvf".
Has anybody encountered the same problem, and if you did , how to
overcome it.
Regards
