BTW, from this message I can tell that this is the old 1740 driver
without the enhancements of Andreas Arens (the new one emits a message
about en/disabled extended bios translation too). As I said, I dunno
which of the official releases contains his patches (one of the 2.1.x for
sure). I'll check if his patch deals with the mbxout problem too. (apart
from a few cosmetice patches (/proc/scsi entry and such) it supports
multiple 174x cards).
I'll go check 2.0.27 and get back to you as my time permits (my new girl
friend got a new job, so I'll have some time soon ;-) ).
