Hello All,
I currently have a machine that runs Linux 2.0.27 very well. My problem
is that I am running out of space. The current Linux partition is on
the end of a 2Gig SCSI drive. Given the prices for SCSI vs. the prices
for IDE, I have chosen to purchase a new 1Gig IDE drive solely for
Linux.
Currently, the SCSI drive is the boot drive when I boot normally. I
would like this situation to continue. What do I need to do when I
install the IDE hard drive to make sure that the IDE drive does not
take over primary boot responsibility. Is this possible? Or will I
have to install a boot manager that will reside on the IDE drive and
allow me to then choose where to boot from?
Thanks in advance for all help.
Steven Cherry.
