At the risk of asking a question already covered in this forum that I have not
received:
Originally installed redhat linux 3.0.3/kernel version 1.2.13
on my pentium 120, 1.2g EIDE drive with
no problems.
I recently upgraded my machine, adding adaptec 2940U and Iomega Jaz Drive. After
deactivating the EIDE drive (ie unplugging it, deleting it from my cmos),
attempted to reinstall linux on my new drive.
It refuses to recognize my 2940U -- I get error message: Unknown PCI Device
detected Vendor=1, Device=6148.
Tried various 2940 scsi boot images that I found on the net, to no avail.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks.
David
