I have a fix for your 2048.diff to allow (again) access to 512k-MOs)
(and probably 512k-SCSI-Disks at all). The problem of your 2048.diff was,
that Access to 2048k-Medias was possible after aplying the patch, but
i had nomore access to 512k-Medias.
The error was, that the function get_hardblocksize() reported the
hardsectorsize (512k) and not the 1024k-Size of the blocks.
Remaining problems:
- other problems described in a former mail.
- mounting a 512k-MO afer unmounting a 2048k-MO or reverse: the first time
mount says:
"/dev/sda is not a valid block device" or so
i must do a second mount to mount the thing sucessfully
I'd like to receive new version of your patch if other improvements are made,
and please tell me if fix ist ok, and no other serious problems of your
patch are reported to you, because i want to install the patch on some
critical machines here at the university.
