Hi to you all and Zeyd Ben-Halim !
Only for those with knowledge of databases in general and ingres in
particularly.
Has anybody had any luck with compiling the Ingres database (ingres04.tgz)
recently ?
If yes, please drop me a line. I'm very dependent of that software.
It will definitly not compile with gcc-2.6.3 (Slackware 2.3 and kernel 1.3.11).
I keep getting segmentation fault from createdb and ingconv while running
m"ake install".
Furthermore Cmap in *.c and *.h has to bee changed from "Cmap []" to "*Cmap"
except in the file cmap.c. To compile at all. I'm not sure why. varnam[] used
to be equivalent to *varnam, but somebody obviusly changed that.
When and why I seems to have missed ??
Thanks in advance for any response.
