I just saw that my SMC Ultra is now recognised as WD80x3-compatible card.
The wd driver seems to work ok with it. But I think, that it used to use
the SMC Ultra driver.
Booting a 1.3.13 kernel, the wd driver stops now completely in NS8390_init.
Is is possible that my card is damaged and then not recognised as SMC?
I think, that an SMC card cannot be used with the WD driver, as they have
incompatible chipsets.
(Did I lose the rest of my brain?)
Can anyone help? Donald?
