You know, i don't know if this is it, but you have a LOT of goodies in
those machines, a lot more in the one that keeps crashing, and most of
these goodies get REALLY HOT. the big HDs put off a lot of heat, the CPU
is probably cooking, and with that memory & all the other goodies, your
power supply is probably pretty hot too.
this is summer, and one of the hottest summers i have seen for a long
time. why don't you see about stuff like extra fans &c?
another good idea might be to install some temperature moniters on your
machines. if you look in some of the ``el cheepo'' stores in your area,
you will probably find some indoor/outdoor temperature gauges that have
an external sensor you can run into the machine for under 5$. this would
let you moniter the heat, so you can bring in extra fans, or turn up the
air conditioner if the temperature starts going up.
