Hello all,
In our domain's name server log, we frequently see messages saying
`recvfrom: Connection refused'. After digging in the kernel source,
I assume this is an ICMP port unreachable error that gets translated
to ECONNREFUSED through the icmp_err_convert table. Is this guess
correct, or is there something worse going on?
Just as a matter of curiosity: is there a way to find out what host
is sending the ICMP error other than tracing named's activity? What
makes me a little suspicious is that the error messages are not
followed by the usual `lame delegation' mutter named produces when
it can't reach a zone's server.
Thanks a lot for any enlightment,
Olaf
PS: The hub is running BIND-4.9.3.
