Thanks to everybody who helped on upping the number of IP ALIASES.
The real problem is the number of files and processes that big a 
server needs open.  I'll be testing this under an extreme load and
so I'll know what userland programs break with the patches (I have 1024
IP aliases and 4096 fd's, just for testing this.)
