They're from all over the place. Usually only with ftp and http
transfers, but those are the only protocols with which I regularly send
more than a little data at a time. I have noticed, however, that the
machines just on the other side of the SLIP link are as likely to give me
problems as the ones outside of our domain.

They come in fairly often whenever I do ftp or http transfers.

None that I can tell. i.e., none are reported to /var/adm/messages.

Maybe. One question I had would be about MTUs. I'm using an MTU of 296
currently. I'm going to try changing it to 1500 this evening (that's what
the terminal server on the other end defaults to) to see what happens.
Have you heard of MTU size affecting data integrity?

Unfortunately they cut the throughput of large transfers by 25-50%.
