I just built a 4 ether router box using the 3c509 driver compiled into the
kernel and used this to get it to probe for them all:
[in lilo.conf]
append="panic=20 ether=0,0,0,0,eth0 ether=0,0,0,0,eth1 ether=0,0,0,0,eth2
ether=0,0,0,0,eth3"
