Subject: Configure 3c5x9 eth card for BNC.
Hello you all,
I have struggled for days trying to configure the linux kernel (ver 1.2.3)
to change the card settings to use the BNC extension but it allways jumps
back to 10BaseT.
I have run ( from dos ) the diagnostics & configuration diskette and
changed the settings to BNC ( from autoselect ) and with no luck, also
i tried passing parameters to the kernel from lilo using the append
command and the ether variable with no results. I must add that I might
have passed the wrong variables since in the book they talk about a 3c503
card....
Please save me from the pond of despafre i've sunk to.....
