I am using an HP here and I really avoid to touch that messy OS.
The security both for NIS client and server functions are stoneage. I have
students on the same net as the HP. This pretty much is the end for
anything related to NIS on that machine. Its just a dumb server. If we
could get that database for Linux I certainly would try to get rid of it.
