I tried to start up routed today, and it got confused. I have a virtual
device using the ipalias option under kernel 2.0.18. routed started
setting things up to route out the virtual device, instead of (or in
addition to in some cases) out eth0. Then it stopped updating the route
table at all.

I understand that gated is supposed to be better than routed, but it
does not come with RedHat 3.0.3. Will gated work any better with
virtual devices? If so, where can I get the source code to gated?
