Hello Everybody,
I'm having problems with the recognition of a 3c509b ethernet
card. If I use the scsinet boot disk the card is recognized and I can
"ifconfig eth0 ..." etc. However, if I don't use the boot disks and use
the A (Linux Kernel 2.00) and the N sets which I've installed, the card
doesn't appear during boot-up. Also "cat /proc/net/dev" doesn't show
eth0.
I did disable the Plug and Play option under DOS as suggested bu
the ETHERNET-HOWTO. I've noticed that there is a 3c509.c driver written
by Donald Becker which is supposed to work under 1.2.13. Has anybody
tried this driver with 2.0.0? Is compiling the driver and doing
"insmod" the only alternative or is there another possibilty ....
	I have a Gateway 2000 486/33c machine.

thanks a lot,
bye,
Rajnish.
