I have two PC computers one thier own small ethernet.  Both run Linux.
I get a transfer rate of 550 between then.  I reboot one of them and run
MS Winows for Work Groups with the MS TCP/IP stack.  The transfer rate goes
to down to about 280.  Same hardware.
