I'm a lucky owner of a zenith homeworks cable modem too, and you don't
need any drivers since its plug on an ethernet adapter. I'have a
cheap ethernet realtek rtl8029 PCI, ne2000 compatible, work fine.

Only one concern about the cable modem, it needs five minutes of warm
up before beeing operational. Your too?

Please don't reply on root@urbanet.ch, it'not my address (I'm trying to
configure sendmail :*), but to philippe.strauss@urbanet.ch
