Hello,
I just made IPFWADM 2.3.0 available on the usual (ftp.xos.nl) site.
Differences with IPFWADM 2.2:
- Fill in packet length when checking packets (-c command).
- Do getnetbyname() before gethostbyname() to avoid DNS
lookups (and timeouts) when specifying a known network name.
- Make "0.0.0.0/0" the default value for the -S and -D options,
except when used in combination with the -c (check) command.
- Enforce correct use of the -W option (required for checking).
- Ignore the hostname when specifying a zero-mask, so that
"any/0" (or whatever) can be used to specify "any" address.
- Include <sys/param.h> instead of <asm/param.h> and use HZ
instead of 100 when reading the masquerading timeout values.
Some of the changes were suggested by users of ipfwadm. Thanks!
This version of ipfwadm requires Linux kernel version 1.3.66 or higher,
although some features will only work with Linux 2.0.0 or higher.
