Stephen,

You probably need to upgrade your libc:- latest ELF is 5.3.12. I have also had problems
with hangs when trying to set up options. This is usually after an upgrade and seems
to be cured by deleting the old ~/.netscape/preference file

Hi All,

Have you seen this,.....

Have been trying to run a netscape, any netscape in an ELF system that has a.out compatibility in it, without much success.

I have tried version 202, version 30b4, version 30b5a and all exhibit the same fault, that is when I start it, it is fine until I try to do something with it, i.e. , use a pull down menu, set to address to go to etc. The first use of any thing that netscape does will hang it and I have to resort to killing it (-9).

I have on this machine 1.3.73 gcc 2.7.0 and all the standard utilize that came off the 6 CD developers set. The only thing that I have changed is the X-server to get X to work with the ET4000 card that I have....

If this has been asked before, then I apologize in advance, but I would like to get this fixed so that I can upgrade my other machine from a.out, where netscape runs OK...
