I've seen the report. The binhexed traces are in mac format, please use
some kind of internet standard encoding so I can read them.
The report looks quite plausible. The linux dhcp server works with windows
and other stacks but they don't depend on this field and assume infinite for
no entry (not 0 as the MAC does).
You should report the problem to the authors of the DHCP server not the
Linux kernel however (or to the authors of the Debian distribution),
as its not a kernel issue.
The debian folk are very good I'd expect they can turn a fix around very
rapidly if your diagnosis is accurate.
