Do you have a good reason why you do this ? I already said, that
I have a working patch, which separates lance.c and lance32.c. It's
ready for inclusion to 2.1.x and has some improved detection for
 Compaq PCI machines. My patch won't need the hack in /net/core/dev.c.

So could you please wait until the development of 2.1.x starts ? Thanks.
