#Hi,
#
#I am running Netscape 2.02 under Linux 2.0. I have a static IP. I connect
#to ISP using PPP 2.2.0. I can ping servers outside my machine using domain
#name. But, in netscape, I CAN NOT REACH ANY URL using the URL name. However,
#it works if I use the IP address instead of the URL name. Can anybody please
#tell me what is the problem?
#
#Thanks in advance.
Sure you should have read the HOWTOS, then you would know, that you have
to spcify a nameserver (You will get the IP Number for the nameserver from
your ISP !
just take a look at man resolver you will find waht you need if you start
there !
Gruss
Wolfgang
PS: Sorry for not saying where to put the nameserver declaration, but
learning how to read manpages to prevent FAQs postet to News & Lists
is importatant. Also you will learn how use Linux , and how to get
answers to your Questions.
