On linux, first get your 2 connections up.  I often get bumped when I try 
to fire up the second.  This is not the portmaster, it is my setup.  When 
it happens kill the pppd process before it times out and dial again. 
(trust me).  Once you get your two connections up you have INCOMING load 
balancing automatically.  If you want it outgoing as well you can then 
enslave your 2 connections and add the default route.

no special settings in the pm are necessary (except the static ip of course).
Also, you need to play with the mtu's, if they are both at 1500 it dosent 
balance as well as lower settings....
