Hi there
I have a 14.4k sportster internal modem ans i'm having some problems with
connection speeds. My university dialup service has lines from 1.2k to
28.8k. When you connect, the system assigns you the fastest line
available. Since there aren't that many fast lines available (14.4k &
28.8k) it's common to have a slower line assigned (1.2k & 2.4) wich are
fine to read mail. The problem is I only get connected when i get the
fast lines and the 1.2k line, the 2.4 line just hangs after the
connection is established. Since the 2.4k lines are the most widely
available, it's a really anoying problem. Someone told me it's a problem
with modem & serial line speeds.
Can anyone help me ?
Thanks in advance
