Pre2.0.14 seems to have a TCP/IP bug reminiscent of the old truncated-stream bug in 1.2
when you tried to `cat file | rsh host 'cat > file'`; I didn't see anything obvious with
tcpdump, but at 1:30am my brain wasn't working at full speed. :-)
I tried to get the source to the latest Lynx 2.5-FM browser from
http://www.wfbr.edu/dir/lynx/lynx2-5fm.zip and found the file to have been trunctated.
I repeatedly tried both lynx and netscape to download the file; each time, it was
truncated (usually but not always near the end of the file). I ultimately resorted to
logging into my desktop PC (running pre2.0.11), using lynx from there to get the file,
then FTPing it to my home PC running pre2.0.14. Both the lynx on my desktop PC and the
old version at home are the same, so I think it's the kernel itself that's losing;
sorry, I don't have better granularity than "somewhere between pre2.0.11 and pre2.0.14"
as the kernel compile time on my home PC is prohibitive.
