well, what irq is your COM2 using (just for checking)?

You should use: setserial /dev/cua2 irq 3

/dev/cua2 is COM3 under DOS.

Read the Serial-HOWTO. Better, check your whole /usr/doc/faq. There's a lot 
of good info there.
