Hi
I've got 2 problems with my linux box :
The first : the logs hereafter will tell you about it. I've never noticed
it before I've booted my PC under version 1.3.97 :
May 1 18:44:25 tower kernel: eth0: mismatched read page pointers 1 vs 53.
May 1 18:44:25 tower kernel: eth0: mismatched read page pointers 1 vs 54.
May 1 18:44:25 tower last message repeated 7 times
May 1 18:45:25 tower kernel: eth0: mismatched read page pointers 1 vs 54.
May 1 18:45:25 tower kernel: eth0: mismatched read page pointers 1 vs 55.
I own a NE2000 compatible card (an old one, but not the true novell card)
My second problem has to do with a "socket destroyed" message. Here is
the log :
May 1 18:43:11 tower kernel: Socket destroy delayed (r=0 w=536)
May 1 18:43:14 tower kernel: Socket destroy delayed (r=0 w=804)
the w= parameter has nearly always the 268 value, sometimes 536,
and it's the first time I see 804. As you may notice, all these
value are by 268 increments. I wonder why ?
alex
PS : at home, at time of these observations, only one other PC was up,
running win95 (with tcpip support...)
