From the time the newest EtherExpress drivers were added (somewhere
around the early .70s) I've had fewer problems from EtherExpress 16
than I've had from the 3c509 driver. The card itself is not
outstanding but there doesn't appear to be anything wrong with the
driver IMHO.
The slower the system, the better the card works. I've tried it on
three different architectures. It ran barely on a Pentium 75, without
error on an i486/33, and decently on an i486/66.
